First, I would like to give you a little personal background on our family staffed business. I have a certificate in Governmental Accounting ( I was the youngest certified municipal clerk in the State of Georgia and served 2 years as City Clerk for the City of Adairsville) That was more than 30 years ago. From there I went on to work for Rust Engineering (Birmingham Alabama) as a Warehouse Superintendent of 16 Teamsters in the mid 70s - 80s. I developed a material tracking program for multi-million dollar inventory management of a fast-track (less than 1 year from begin to end completion) construction project for Boise Cascade. I sold that program to the parent company and pursued building my own business from that point forward.
My husband, Michael Heuss, is retired from the US Air Force and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He has been programming since he was in high school where he wrote arcade and strategy games, word processors and databases During his service in the Air Force he mastered C, Cobol, Fortran and a lot of a Unisys-only languages that are not as commonly used in the outside world. As a self employed website developer, he uses scripting languages of C++, migrated to PHP, Ajax, Java and more. He as been developing web based applications for a wide variety of corporations, served as a consultant to dozens of companies large and small. He is a prolific code generator, contributes to the OS community (open source) and holds a patent for an encryption device process. http:dropsecurepro.com
We have two children - Jen, 26 years old - graphic design and being groomed to steer Cyber Studios after our retirement, a 6 year old that keeps me hopping - literally and figuratively. I volunteer a couple days a week at his school to help fundraise, handle their accounting/payroll, capital needs and helping acquire a facility to expand the school through high-school by the time this little romper is a raging teenager. Our daughter, Jen, also attended Montessori Shcool - http://millhopper.com/new/ from age 2 1/2. While she was there I (volunteered) worked to transition their library card system to computer and obtained their certified status with the Florida Council of Independent Schools.
Jen attended Millhopper Montessori School, dual enrolled at Santa Fe High and Santa Fe College and obtained an AA in Art Studio. In addition she studied and passed the Florida Real Estate Exam for Realtors, worked for 2 years as an assistant Property Manager in Gainesville before joining Cyber Studios in 2005. Today she manages the development, support and training for our client base and oversees day to day operations.
